Arrieta pitched two innings in relief tonight for Triple-A Norfolk, allowing one run and three hits, with no walks and two strikeouts. He threw 25 pitches, 18 for strikes.
That's not much work for a guy who was slated to start before being scratched, with the Orioles "keeping their options open," according to a team official.

Single-A Frederick left-hander Nate Nery allowed one earned run over eight innings in a 6-1 victory over Lynchburg.
Back in Baltimore, Will Ohman replaced David Hernandez and allowed the following: Walk, walk (intentional), two-run double, two-run double.
Red Sox 6, Orioles 0.
Update: Matt Wieters was 0-for-20 with eight strikeouts before leading off the ninth with a double. The Orioles only need nine runs to win this game.
