Koji Uehara may be drawing closer to a stint on the disabled list. He still hasn't thrown a bullpen session or faced batters in a game since injuring his left hamstring. "I think this is 11 days now since he's pitched," Trembley said of Uehara. "We're getting to the point where I would say the middle part of this week we have to find out whether he's going to be able to go or not. I would think Wedneday or Thursday we'd have to find out. He'd have to throw a sideline and pitch in a game. He'd have to face some hitters, and I'm not so sure that's going to happen right now. But I'll check with him again and see whether it's going to be viable or not." Sure sounds like the DL to me. Quick update: Uehara just told reporters that he expects to go on the DL. Show of hands if you're shocked. Asked about Kam Mickolio, Trembley said, "Mickolio has been restricted somewhat with a little bit of a groin strain. He did partake in the drills today. I did see him running out there. I don't think he got on a mound. He needs to throw a sideline and then he needs to get in a game before we can find out where he's at. "I think he's had a very good opportunity to show what he can do. Whether it's been the best he can do, I'm not so sure. I think it's been kind of an up-and-down for him. I don't mean to be very critical, but I think he's capable of doing better more consistently. I think he's shown glimpses of it. Other times he's pitched in too many three-ball counts. I don't know if his leg has been bothering him for a while and this has been a reason. There's an awful lot in there. We just need to get it out on a more consistent basis." Sure sounds like Triple-A or the DL to me. Brian Roberts also will be in tomorrow's lineup if his back responds favorably to tonight's game.
