The Washington Nationals will mark the return of the Patriotic Series presented by SAIC when the team hosts Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday, April 2 vs. the Philadelphia Phillies. To honor the men and women of the U.S. military, the Nationals will offer complimentary tickets to military service members and their families for Tuesday's game. Active duty service members, dependents, veterans, retirees, and reservistsmay claim up to two complimentary tickets for each military ID or proof of service. For tickets, please visit the windows next to the First Base Gate on Potomac Avenue SE, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on April 2.
The Nationals will also celebrate Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Heroes Day as part of the 2019 Patriotic Series presented by SAIC.
This series features on-field programming and pregame assets, themed giveaways, and patriotic uniforms.
The 2019 Patriotic Series includes:
- Military Appreciation Day - Tuesday, April 2 vs. Philadelphia Phillies
- Memorial Day - Monday, May 27 vs. Miami Marlins
- Independence Day - Wednesday, July 4 vs. Miami Marlins
- Heroes Day: September 11 Remembrance - Sunday, September 1 vs. Miami Marlins
Complimentary tickets for Military Appreciation Day can be picked up at the Grand Staircase Box Office near the First Base Gate beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maximum of two tickets per ID or proof of service. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
These games are part of the Nationals military outreach programming, which includes the Nats on Base initiative, Salute to Service during every home game, and the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore "Home Away From Home Team Program" during each Sunday home game, which provides complimentary tickets to military families and allows military children to connect with peers to help make new friends. The Washington Nationals are also proud to offer ticket discounts, including a credit of up to $10 for food, beverage, and merchandise to service members (active duty, reservist, veteran, and retiree), government employees, first responders, and public school teachers.
