The tarp is off the field and the Orioles don't expect any issues tonight with the weather.

Steve Pearce will undergo surgery Wednesday in New York to repair his flexor tendons, a procedure not to be confused with "Tommy John."

Pearce will head to Tampa later for his recovery and rehab, which is projected at four-to-six months.

Wade Miley threw today and reported that his back much better. He left yesterday's game after four innings with a mild muscle strain.

Reliever Darren O'Day said his right shoulder felt "pretty good" today, but he'd know more after heading to the field to play catch.

O'Day came off the disabled list yesterday and gave up a home run to the Rays' Corey Dickerson on his first pitch.

Manager Buck Showalter said he hasn't heard anything negative about O'Day's health today.

Mark Trumbo's back is fine and he's in tonight's lineup after hitting a tie-breaking home run yesterday in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Showalter said the Orioles are leaning toward starting Ubaldo Jimenez on Wednesday. The spot is listed as TBD.

Jimenez would get the call over Yovani Gallardo.

The Orioles were going to take a train home from New York after their final regular season game, but they've switched to a charter in case they need to travel to another city for the playoffs.
