BALTIMORE -- MASN, the television home of the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles, has reached affiliate agreements with two Virginia-based cable television providers as well as two new affiliates in North Carolina.
Chatmoss Cablevision in Danville and Nelson Cable in Wintergreen are now broadcasting the popular regional sports network in Virginia. Chatmoss is carrying MASN on Channel 6.80, MASN HD on Channel 680, MASN 2 on Channel 6.81 and MASN2 HD on Channel 681. Nelson is broadcasting MASN on Channel 77, MASN HD on Channel 730, MASN2 on Channel 78 and MASN2 HD on Channel 731.
MASN also has reached agreements with Salem TV in Clemmons, N.C., and Randolph TV, located in Asheboro, N.C. This will bring to 11 the number of affiliates in North Carolina. Expected launch date for these two systems is in early May. Channel lineups will be announced at the time of each launch.
The launch of MASN on these systems brings Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals baseball, NCAA football and basketball, dozens of coaches' shows and more local sports programming to viewers in Virginia and North Carolina. Throughout the football and basketball seasons, MASN televises over 50 NCAA Division I football and almost 200 NCAA Division I basketball games in its viewing region, which includes six states and the District of Columbia. MASN is the official cable network of the Big South Conference and UNC Wilmington.
