Orioles lineup vs. Brewers

Anthony Bemboom is catching tonight as the Orioles close out their series against the Brewers.

Ramón Urías is at third base and Jorge Mateo is the shortstop.

Rougned Odor is starting at second base.

Trey Mancini, the designated hitter and batting fourth, has a hit in four of the first five games.

John Means makes his second start after allowing one run and six hits in four innings against the Rays.

The Orioles are 4-for-47 with runners in scoring position in five games, losing four of them. They’ve struck out 58 times to lead the majors, two more than the Padres, who have played six games. They’re batting .207/.305/.317.

Down on the farm, outfielder Kyle Stowers took batting practice yesterday and could return to Triple-A Norfolk’s lineup tonight or soon after. He was hit on the hand in the Tides’ April 5 opener.

Catcher Adley Rutschman is increasing his baseball activities as he works toward a return from a strained right triceps.

Outfielder Yusniel Diaz left last night’s game after one at-bat with soreness in his right hamstring – not his left, as first reported.

The Brewers are starting Corbin Burnes, last year’s Cy Young Award winner in the National League. He allowed three runs and walked three batters in five innings against the Cubs on opening day.

Reliever Hoby Milner recorded the win last night for his first career decision in 96 games, a major league record.

Old Mill High’s Josh Hader, a former Orioles farmhand, has converted 40 of 41 save chances since Sept. 20, 2020.
