Oriole Park is the place to be this summer as the Orioles host a diverse line-up of music artists ranging from emerging performers to Hall of Fame legends throughout the summer as part of the Birdland Summer Music Series.
The series is highlighted by the first-ever major concert at the ballpark, featuring world-renowned artist BILLY JOEL, on Friday, July 26, which not only will bring nearly 40,000 people to downtown Baltimore but also help raise funds for a worthy cause. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sold-out concert to support music and arts education programs for kids in Maryland and across the region.
In addition to the Billy Joel concert and Friday Fireworks & Women of Country Music, the Orioles are excited to introduce Saturday Roof Deck Sessions for the seven Saturday home games from June 15 through August 24. The sessions will feature pregame performances from both local artists and national acts on the Budweiser Roof Deck in center field. These unique performances will be broadcast throughout the ballpark, while fans looking to get up close and personal with the performers can access the Roof Deck with any game ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. Special happy hour pricing on select beverages will be available exclusively on the Roof Deck from the time gates open until the scheduled first pitch. A complete lineup of artists and additional information on Saturday Roof Deck Sessions can be found at Orioles.com/Music.
"Camden Yards continues to be the summer destination for fans throughout Birdland. From affordable game tickets, family-friendly experiences, and now an extensive slate of music entertainment, Orioles fans and those visiting our city all season long won't have to look far for fun, and we want them to be part of it all," said GREG BADER, Orioles Vice President, Communications and Marketing. "The Birdland Summer Music Series builds upon our wide variety of fan-friendly promotions, further appealing to and attracting fans of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy an afternoon or evening at the ballpark."
The Birdland Summer Music Series also includes the previously-announced Friday Fireworks & Women of Country Music Series, which will feature postgame, on-field performances from emerging female country artists following the seven Friday home games from June 14 through August 23, in partnership with Change the Conversation, a nonprofit organization which fights gender inequality in the music industry. Friday Fireworks and Women of Country Music is part of the Orioles' yearlong celebration of women's equality and girls' empowerment.
