Tejada's head slammed into Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli as he dived into home plate, but Trembley used a blowout loss as an opportunity to rest his veteran third baseman. Chorye Spoone allowed three runs and two hits in six innings. He served up two home runs. Single-A Frederick third baseman Billy Rowell went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a 3-2 win over Myrtle Beach. Rick Zagone didn't get the decision after permitting two runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings. Single-A Delmarva's Thomas Baxter hit his fourth home run tonight in an 8-3 win over Greensboro.
