In sad and unfortunate news, Orioles great Paul Blair passed away the day after Christmas. While I am too young to have ever seen him play, I have heard stories from my family and from diehard Orioles fans about how great he was and how he made chasing down flyballs in the outfield look easy. I wish that I could have seen Blair stand in shallow center field before taking off. Blair will be honored with a memorial service open to the public today in Towson.
