This Potomac Nationals third baseman wears #11, and his dad is a General in the United States Air Force, but 25-year-old Robby Jacobsen is making a name for himself in Woodbridge with his outstanding play. Jacobsen is truly a homegrown talent. The 6'1", 205-pounder was drafted by the Nats in 2006 and went to school, played baseball and is now an offseason volunteer coach at George Mason University. Robby's father, Kevin J. Jacobsen, is a general in the United States Air Force and in...

On another Monday off day for the O's, we take a closer look at another piece of the Yard before the Birds finish up their nine-game homestand and fly north to Boston for the weekend. This week, you'll see a familiar image, but with the text that would have given the picture's identity away removed and/or blurred out of the photo. But as usual, take a look at the photo below and let me know what the item is and where it's located in or around Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Don't forget...

Felix Pie went 0-for-4 today in his first injury rehab game with the Gulf Coast League Orioles. He was removed for a pinch-hitter - hopefully because he was only slated to receive four at-bats. Update: I received a text message from a team official stating that Pie is fine and received the desired amount of at-bats. Pie grounded to second, third and short, and reached on an error. He left for a pinch-hitter with two outs and a runner on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning. First...

Hope you all survived the heat at Nationals Park this weekend. I'm sporting a new bright red shade that I hope will fade before I have to attend a wedding this weekend. Anyway, on to baseball. Here is this week's challenge photo. Can you identify where it is? Some additional bonus point options for this week. Tell me something about the subject in the picture. And/or take your picture at this spot and post it to our MASN Facebook page. Reminder Wednesday marks the last day for...

Brad Bergesen will work on short rest tonight when he takes the mound for Triple-A Norfolk's game against Lehigh Valley. Bergesen started Thursday night against Toledo, but lasted only 2 2/3 innings. He was removed after 65 pitches and three runs, allowing him to come back tonight. The Orioles need a starter Saturday night against the Nationals, so Bergesen is lined up to make his return to Camden Yards. But it won't happen if he's shelled tonight. Trust me, you don't want to be shelled...

As the O's enjoy an off day before the start of a nine-game homestand against Florida, Washington, and Oakland, we meet again for another 'Where in the Yard?' photo contest here in the Orioles Buzz. Take a look at the photo below and tell us what the item is and where it's located in or around Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Stumped? Ask for a hint or head to the Yard Tuesday night to search for the item in person. Don't forget, there are bonus points for being the first O's fan to guess...
