MASN Launches on Comcast in Harrisburg-Lebanon Area March 31st

MASN, the television home of the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals, will launch on Comcast in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area just in time for Major League Baseball's Opening Day. Starting March 31, MASN will be televised on Comcast systems in Harrisburg, Lykens, Lebanon, Hershey, Millersburg and Elizabethtown in central Pennsylvania. Comcast will also carry MASN 2, MASN HD and MASN 2 HD, additional channels which allow MASN to televise every game of two Major League teams in high definition, even when the teams play simultaneously. The channel will launch on the expanded basic tier of Comcast cable service. The first televised Orioles game for Harrisburg-area Comcast subscribers is 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31 against the Boston Red Sox live on MASN and MASN HD. The first televised Nationals game is the final exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, live on MASN and MASN HD. In addition to televising over 320 Major League Baseball games, MASN carries exclusive pre and postgame shows before and after every game, nine spring training games, Nationals and Orioles Classic games and live press conferences throughout the year. For the Baltimore Orioles, this launch marks a return to the Harrisburg market in which they were televised for decades. And, with Washington's AA affiliate, the Harrisburg Senators, located in Harrisburg, Nationals baseball will also be an exciting addition to live sports programming in central Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Senators fans will finally have the opportunity to watch their favorite alumni like Ryan Zimmerman, John Lannan, Craig Stammen, Garrett Mock, Ian Desmond and Justin Maxwell compete in the Big Leagues. When super prospect and current Harrisburg Senator Stephen Strasburg makes his debut at Nationals Park, fans in Harrisburg won't miss a single pitch. "Hundreds of thousands of additional viewers in MASN's television territory will now get to enjoy nightly Major League Baseball in stunning high definition," said MASN spokesman Todd Webster.
