(Washington D.C.) -- Adding to an impressive slate of East Carolina programming this season, MASN will exclusively produce and televise ECU's Homecoming game against Rice on October 17th at 3:30 p.m. live from Greenville. This will increase to nine the number of Pirate football games being televised by MASN this year as part of the network's partnership with ECU. The exclusive MASN production will feature veteran Pirates broadcaster Patrick Kinas providing play-by-play, and former ECU kicker Kevin Miller, who still holds the career record for successful PATs, doing color analysis. Additionally, as part of MASN's important partnership with East Carolina, two ECU students from the School of Communication will handle sideline reporting duties for the game, providing the students with real-world broadcasting experience. Skip Holtz and the Conference USA-champion Pirates will host the C-USA West Co-Champion Rice Owls in this important, must-see conference game during Homecoming Weekend. Throughout the season, MASN will also televise ECU match-ups with North Carolina, UCF, SMU, Memphis, Virginia Tech, Tulsa, and UAB. And, every Wednesday, MASN televises the Skip Holtz Show in which the fifth-year head coach offers in-depth game analysis and fields questions from fans. "This exclusive broadcast is a great addition to MASN's impressive slate of Pirates programming this season, further demonstrating MASN's commitment to the university and their fans, alumni and supporters," said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. ECU and MASN recently renewed a partnership that includes the nine televised games and ECU programming, marketing opportunities, and pre-game events before ECU home games. MASN is North Carolina's home for the Big East Football Game of the Week as the network televises the best weekly football match-ups from one of the nation's most exciting conferences. The network also has a partnership with the Big South Conference and UNC Wilmington, and serves as North Carolina's home for NCAA football and basketball having featured UNCW, UNCC, Davidson, Western Carolina, Appalachian State, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Wake Forest, Elon, UNCA and High Point in past seasons. MASN is available on the expanded basic tier throughout much of North Carolina on seven fan-friendly cable and satellite providers, including DirecTV (Channel 640), Dish Network (Channel 432), as well as Mediacom, Charter, MI Connections, Reds Cable, and Tri County Cable.
