Patrick Egan, who pitched at Single-A Delmarva, Single-A Frederick and Double-A Bowie last year, moved over from the minor league camp to work the ninth inning tonight. He struck out the first two batters he faced and served up a home run to catcher P.J. Pilittere.
Egan regrouped and recorded another strikeout.
You know it's spring training when...
Yankees 11, Orioles 5.
Nolan Reimold has three more hits tonight, including two doubles. He came within an inch of hitting a home run in the eighth.
Justin Turner's bloop single in the eighth scored Reimold for the Orioles' fifth run.
Reimold moved from left field to right. I guess we know who's backing up Nick Markakis.
Matt Albers allowed two runs (one earned) and three hits, with three strikeouts, in 2 1/3 innings.
Lou Montanez's pinch-hit single raised his average to .310.
Brandon Waring pinch-ran for Miguel Tejada and played third base.
