"Battle of the Beltways" Returns with Combined Talent Team

MASN will return its popular mixed booth broadcast for interleague play between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals for the third straight season. "Battle of the Beltways" kicks off when the Orioles visit the Nationals for three games starting Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. During each game, MASN will feature a special three-man booth with Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer and two-time All Star Rob Dibble, each team's primary color analyst. Veteran broadcasters Bob Carpenter and Jim Hunter will take turns calling play-by-play, while Amber Theoharis and Debbi Taylor will provide updates and interviews throughout the game. The pre and post-game shows will be produced separately, with O's Xtra originating from the studio and appearing on MASN and MASN HD and Nats Xtra airing live from Nationals Park on MASN 2 and MASN 2 HD. "Widely acclaimed since its inception in 2008, MASN's mixed booth broadcast highlights our best features -- an All-Star caliber broadcast talent team and our unique ability to cover NL and AL baseball every day of the season," said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. Interleague play resumes between the two teams on June 25, 26 and 27 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. With every available Nationals and Orioles game live and in HD, pre and post game shows before and after every game, one of the best talent teams in all of baseball and 24/7 online coverage at MASNsports.com, MASN provides maximum access to both the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles.
