Koji update

Koji Uehara played catch again today before moving to the back fields, where he was expected to do some light running. Uehara's left hamstring is feeling a little better, but he needs to get back on the mound. He's been projected as the seventh-inning guy and he needs to pitch again before the Orioles head to St. Petersburg for the opener. "It makes you shuffle some things around on paper," manager Dave Trembley said. "The report I got this morning was that he was improved. We'll have to see where he's at in the next few days. It does cause you to mix and match and maybe shuffle some guys around. "He told Kranny he needed one or two more times to pitch. That was it. I would think the middle of next week is when he'd have to start pitching. He'd have to throw a sideline and then face a couple hitters." If Uehara starts the season on the disabled list, the Orioles could keep Kam Mickolio and Matt Albers on the 25-man roster.
