Camden Yards welcomes Citizen Cope

The American League Championship Series brought a lot of excitement to Baltimore over the weekend. Building on this excitement, the Orioles welcomed Clarence Greenwood, better known as Citizen Cope, to the ballpark to belt the national anthem in front of a sellout crowd of 46,912 fans in attendance. Citizen Cope has received a number of accolades over the past 10 years of his career, including collaborations with Grammy Award-winning artists such as Santana, Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton. Another achievement to add to his impressive resume? Serenading Camden Yards during the Orioles' first appearance in the ALCS in 17 years. A Washington, D.C., native, Clarence grew up an Orioles fan. When asked what it was like for him to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Camden Yards for a playoff game, Greenwood responded, "It's great. It's like a full circle, or full 'O' I guess."
