Kevin Millwood threw 100 pitches tonight before coming out of the game with two runners on base and none out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Evan Longoria homered to deep left field to open the inning. Carlos Pena reached on a bunt single along the third base line against the Orioles' infield shift, and B.J. Upton lined a single to left after pitching coach Rick Kranitz visited the mound. Matt Albers has replaced Milwood, who so far is charged with two runs and nine hits. Both runners are his responsibility, of course. Instant update: Pat Burrell bounced into a 6-4-3 double play before I could send this entry. The Orioles are 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position tonight. Updated again: Albers struck out Sean Rodriguez to strand the tying run at third base.
