Orioles lineup vs. Tigers

Craig Gentry gets the start in right field tonight and Jace Peterson remains the No. 2 hitter as the Orioles begin their three-game series against the Tigers at overcast but dry Camden Yards.

Caleb Joseph is catching starter Chris Tillman.

Tillman lowered his ERA from 11.91 to 9.87 in his last start, when he allowed four runs in six innings in a 4-0 loss to the Indians. He walked only one batter, but also surrendered three solo home runs.

Miguel Cabrera is 6-for-22 with two doubles and a home run. Leonys Martin is 4-for-12 with a home run. Nicholas Castellanos is 2-for-12.

The Tigers are starting Mike Fiers, one of the pitchers on the Orioles' offseason radar. He's 2-1 with a 3.71 ERA and 1.412 WHIP in 17 innings.

Fiers is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.929 WHIP in two career starts against the Orioles, with only two runs allowed in 14 innings. He's walked two batters and struck out 16.

Danny Valencia is 4-for-11 with two home runs against Fiers. Pedro Álvarez is 3-for-17 with two homers.
